After a missed German penalty kick early in the second half, the U.S. Women netted two goals to advance to the World Cup finals. The first score came off a penalty of their own, after Alex Morgan was taken down in the box on a rush to goal. Carli Lloyd earned the tally.
The second goal came from minutes later off a Lloyd cross to Kelley O’Hara, who plowed through her defender to put it in.
The team will play the winner of Japan/England who meet later today. The Final is July 5, 7ET/4PT!
